Sweeter than its alcoholic counterpart, this Mulled Verjus will fill your kitchen with the comforting fragrances of the holiday season. Our recipe makes 4-6 drinks.
Tip: Try making this in a slow cooker!
Ingredients:
- 750 mL Verjus Rouge
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 3/4 cup water
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 1/2 tbsp whole cloves
- 1/2 tbsp whole allspice
- 1 tbsp sugar, optional
- cinnamon sticks & orange twists, for garnish
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan and stir to combine.
- Simmer on medium low for at least 30 minutes and up to 3 hours.
- Remove and discard the orange, lemon, and whole spices. Add extra sweetener to taste.
- Serve warm in heatproof mugs, topped with your favorite garnishes.
