Tomato & Gigandes Bean Bruschetta

  1. Cut 12 one-inch thick slices from the baguette
  2. Cut each slice in half to make croutons
  3. Grill or toast the croutons so the cut sides are crisp and toasted but the middle stays soft
  4. Generously spread some bean paste or hummus on one side of each crouton
  5. Top each with a piece of tomato
  6. Arrange on a platter
  7. Drizzle a little olive oil on top and place some basil on the tomatoes
